What is a natural language search?

  • Search uses plain language, such as spoken English
  • Natural language systems use algorithms to select important terms as a function of the term’s rarity in relation to the presence of the term in the database.
  • Very easy to understand and conduct, but many databases don’t offer it as a function.
  • Google is a prime example of a natural language search facility.
